• Choosing the Healthiest Foods for Your Family

Welcome! I am a mom of a busy 8 year old and an adventurous 6 year old. I also happen to work for a great company called NuVal. NuVal is a nutritional scoring system that rates foods on a scale of 1-100, based on how nutritious they are. We are implementing NuVal in grocery stores around the country.

NuVal may not be in your area yet. But I see the scores while they are "hot off the press" and because of that I am able to make better decisions about what to feed my family.

Wordless Wednesday

Wednesday, January 25, 2012 at 08:12 AM

It’s Wordless Wednesday!  Every Wednesday, I take a break from blog-writing and I post a simple photo.  Today, it will be easy for me to remain silent because I’m out traveling.  The flight attendants will be ordering me to shut off my electronic devices soon, but before they do, let me just say that the comment line is now open and that I can’t wait to hear what you all have to say about today’s photo.  Happy Wednesday Everybody!

This one surprises me, too. I wonder what regular ice cream scores. I looked online, and the ingredients in this are mango puree, water, sugar, pectin, citric acid, natural flavor, and annatto (for color). It has the be because there are 36 g of sugar per serving, but no fat, and low sodium. Well, as long as I treat it as a rare but delicious treat, I guess it’s ok.
